Accept Yourself And Keep Moving
I am what I choose to make of myself. I am not a static being, I am capable of becoming more and moving in any direction I choose. When I find myself feeling stuck, I can choose self-examination and acceptance rather than judgment. Rather than directing negative feelings at myself, I can love myself right where I am and reach out with kindness to discover what is keeping me from moving forward.
Is it fear? Is it lack of time? Is it a story I tell myself about why I can’t be and do more of what I want in my life? Am I in some way choosing to stay stuck rather than making choices that are difficult or scary for me?
Wherever I am right now, it’s okay and I’m okay, but it doesn’t mean I need to keep making the same choices. In any moment I can make a different choice and move forward even if it’s scary or hard. I can make a list of small steps that will lead me toward my goals. I can take one small step toward my dreams today, even though it’s hard to find the time. I can put more steps on my calendar. I can make a date with someone else for guidance, to work together, or just to get moral support. I can try something new instead of making judgments about why I shouldn’t.
If I make these and more choices to move forward every day, things will change. It may not happen overnight, but it will happen. I will become more of the person I choose to be, rather than a person who lets life pass me by.
So I stand up and make my choice now. I choose to support and accept myself no matter what the outcome, whether I succeed or fail. I am here for the journey, and I have all I need.
Here are affirmations that may be helpful reminders:
I enjoy my journey and celebrate every step I take toward my dreams.
I accept myself right where I am and treat myself with loving kindness.
Every day I make a new choice to move forward in a positive direction.
